There are two quotes that I seem to go back to when I think about my art and disappear into the studio for hours.

"I once read that most cultures have a word in their vocabulary which defines that event or activity - when Time does not exist. Creativity leads us into the Now where past regrets and future worries are not permitted. Time becomes meaningless in the face of Creativity." Fred Babb

"One's mind, once stretched by a new idea, never regains its original dimensions." Oliver Wendell Holmes

They apply to the new work I created since learning clay monoprinting. It has allowed a freedom of expression and movement, combines my ceramics experience with painting in a way I never expected.

The results invoke Asian art, pure abstraction and sometimes fabric patterning.

What more could an artist desire? Endless time within the parameters of real time and the freedom of creativity.
